Is PayPal available for Nigerians? – Answer: Yes, PayPal is available for Nigerians to send money only.
But if you want an account that can send and also receive money here in Nigeria (then this is the right content on the internet for you).
To use the platform seamlessly in Nigeria, there’s an approach to take that will prevent you from experiencing any difficulty in using PayPal to receive money in the country and unlock all the prominent features that come with your account.
When I first opened my PayPal account in 2019, I made some mistakes (based on the source information i got) which I later found out in 2021, hence, the reason I closed that particular Paypal account immediately having received and sent a reasonable amount on money.
I used some wrong credentials to open my first PayPal account, which was a disaster for me.
The above screenshot shows the limit I was about to reach, which the next step from Paypal would have been for me to send over my document for account reverification.
The thing is, if you search online, you’ll see that PayPal has locked the account of so many individuals. Why? This is because of their business transaction style and operation that isn’t properly implemented.
There is a lot of online guide on how to set up a well verified PayPal account that can send and receive money here in Nigeria. As explained above, i use one of them, but it wasn’t properly detailed, and that is why I made mine to explain this properly.

What To Know Before You Create a PayPal Account In Nigeria
Before you open a PayPal account, you want to determine which account is best for you.
If you are not expecting frequent usage of your account or for high-level online business like
selling on Ebay, Dropshipping, Ecommerce etc., then you might want to go with a Personal
Account against a Business Account as we will use in this post.
With a Personal account, you do not get the strict processes as compared to a business account.
However, with a business account, you can easily use your genuine documents and verify the account because as a Business Account you can open it from any country of the world, hence, the freedom to either use a South African, Dubai, or a Lesotho account, and more.
For my last account, I used a Dubai, but this time, I am going with a Lesotho Business account.
So, the ball is in your court to decide which of the countries you want to use. But in all these,
the most important thing is using VALID documents and information.

How To Maintain A Good Reputation With Your PayPal Account In Nigeria.
1. Maintain the same IP address.
While I don’t want to get into the complexity of terms, the thing is, the Nigerian IP address is dynamic, which is why many people use VPN to operate their PayPal account.
First off, you do not need a VPN to operate this account — unless you used the same to open a USA,
Canada, or UK PayPal account.
Coming back, now, if you had used MTN network to open your PayPal account, try as much as possible
to use the same and operate the account.
2. Increase your transaction limits relatively and not abruptly. Here is what I mean.
When operating your online business, do not scale the transactions too aggressively.
For instance, you used to transact 20 per day, and all of a sudden, you are doing 1k per day
with no time, or if you will receive plenty of chargebacks.
There is more to this, but I will keep it here for now.
