Crypto Giveaway Scams And How To Spot Them
This Is A Quick Post Addressing (Ether-bonus.com) Ether Scam Bonus.
This is a very good looking page, that a bunch of scammers has put together in other to get money from people, with the idea of them saying put in your Ethereum Wallet address and we’ll send you some Ethereum after a few days.
I actually took my time to go through the platform to understand what the scam is all about, first of all I discovered that the purpose of the scammers building a nice looking website was to promote their telegram channel.
- Due to the wild spread of the platform they’ve managed so far to generate about 20,000+ members.
actually. - When you successfully signup and submit your Ethereum wallet, they reserve the coin which they promised you in their locked balance asking you to verify in order to claim it (it reads).
Dear participant, in order to verify your account please send a minimum of 0.02 Eth to the generated address, once the verification is complete, the fund sent for verification and your airdrop giveaway will be returned within the given period.
Please do not send your money to this guys, else you’ll loose it.
THAT’S A RED FLAG (SCAM)
What they’re doing is that they’re actually gathering thousands of people to make money out of them.
Now you do the maths, they have more than 20,000+ subscribers on their telegram group if a person transfers 0.02ETH x 20,000 persons how much do you think is that? this is a daylight scam friends please do not fall for this.
